Shocking Typhoon Frank hits Iloilo, Philippines

This is the first time in Iloilo history. The Typhoon Frank hits Iloilo and the whole provinces with the most flooded ever happened in the history. I have never expected that the Typhoon Frank causing too much damages in our lives, properties and infractructure. Many people had found dead and others are missing due to the fast rising of water or flash flood from the river which has been overflowed.

The report said that the residents near the river banks are mostly affected. Their houses are washed out and some family members were dead and missing. The most affected areas I have known in Iloilo are Jaro, Lapaz, Mandurriao and from provinces like Pavia, Leganes, Zarraga, Pototan, Mina, Santa Barbara, Cabatuan, Maasin and Janiuay.

Some testimony from our concern citizen and local official were able to witness the shocking incident like Mayor Bienvenido Margarico (of Janiuay, Iloilo, Philiipines) was crying and said that ” It’s really painful to witness somebody was asking for help from you and you not being able to do anything to save them. It’s painful that you witnessed how the flood kills helpless persons and It’s the first time for such incident to happen in our town “. Also, he even witnessed how the flood carried out a number of families along the Suague River, which swallowed them up in just a matter of seconds and their district hospital was also submerged in water and some patients reportedly had to be placed on improvised beds to keep them from getting wet.- testimony source from Sun star-iloilo.

Until now, people of Iloilo and provinces are still shocked. They never expected that it will happened that much in their entire lives and in the history of iloilo. Many people said that the flood before is not like this. The water level of flood before is up to knee level but this time is over that knee level as high as the roof top of a house or even higher up to the next floor of two-storey house. People survived from flood when they are at the roof top of the house and they got shocked, cold, hungry and asking for help. Some are rescued but some are not due to lack of facilities to use. To those people are not affected are lucky but in their mind marked this not to forget and its really painful to witness others asking for help but we have not able to do anything to save them, painful that you witnessed how the flood kills helpless persons and how the flood carried out a number of families along the river, which swallowed them up in just a matter of seconds.

I can’t imagine but that’s the reality. Only god knows everything and it was his plan for us to do something that we overcome this tragedy and put ourselves into him with everything we can offer to ask him again for our salvation and forgiveness for our sins. Let us help and pray for all the victims of Typhoon Frank especially to those who died and still missing. We hope that they will be fine and survive of what they have experienced right now.
