iLASIK technology is safe and proven

Nowadays, NASA and U.S. Military personnel have utilized the new and improved technology for safety and effectiveness. It is some what like the procedure to correct the vision, as what Steven Schallhorn, M.D., a retired U.S. Navy captain, said “The Department of Defense (DOD) and NASA have validated the fact that today’s LASIK exceeds all established standards of safety and effectiveness.”

Are you familiar with LASIK technology? Well, according to my own research on LASIK information, LASIK (means laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) is an elective refractive laser eye surgery performed by ophthalmologists for the correction of myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. The procedure is generally preferred to photorefractive keratectomy (PRK), sometimes called Advanced Surface Ablation. It requires less time for the patient’s recovery, and the patient feels less pain overall.

The new and improved technology’s safety and effectiveness have been clinically validated. iLASIK uses 2 lasers instead of 1 compared to the old LASIK technology. With iLASIK, a wave-front technology first maps the unique characteristics of the eye before an ultrafast computer-guided laser creates the corneal flap. After that, a wave-front mapping data will guide a second laser for vision correction.

In the world technology, the modern and improved LASIK (also known as the iLASIK Procedure) has been developed and clinically validated. The iLASIK is now uses two lasers instead of one as compared to LASIK tecnhology before. At first stage, a wave-front technology first maps the unique characteristics of the individual’s eye then the corneal flap has been created using the ultafast computer-guided laser which replaces the handheld microkeratome blade used in older forms of LASIK and makes the procedure exceptionally safe. After the flap is created, the wave-front mapping data guides a second laser for vision correction. After the decades of study, The iLASIK procedure is the result of technical refinement and combines all of the most advanced all-laser LASIK technology in one efficient LASIK platform, which makes this procedure painless, safe and effective.
